Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Here you will find the most frequently asked questions.

Can I write to you first before requesting a quote?

Sure! Drop me a message or book an introductory briefing call via video chat or telephone. If you hate contact forms, you can send an email.

Do you offer to record demos before a project?

Yes, of course. If you're not 100% sure how my voice will benefit your project, just send over your script and I'll send you a demo.

Can you deliver immediately?

For express deliveries, drop me a message. I usually offer same-day or 24-hour delivery from Monday to Thursday.

Where and how can I count the words of my script?

Many apps can count words (MS Word, GoogleDocs, Pages, etc.) If you are using an app that does not count words, you can use online tools such as https://wordcounter.net/

How much for a voice over?

I calculate each offer individually based on various factors and roughly base my calculations on the VDS Gagenkompass. My advice Simply request your individual quote without any obligation and decide later.

How does the revision process work?

If I make mistakes in the recording, I always correct them free of charge and with priority. If further changes are requested, it depends on the scope. Usually you never have to pay extra - and if you do, I'll ask you about it beforehand.

Can we do a live session with you?

Yes, I'd love that! You can schedule a session and join me live via Source Connect, Sessionwire, Zoom, Meet – you name it – and give me instructions while I record your text. This will ensure that everything is performed and captured exactly how you want it.

Do you speak accents or dialects?

Honestly, not really. But: It depends. There are always a few words or sentences in Low German (Kölsch, Öcher, ...). Or even a French, Spanish or English accent. It's best to ask me directly so that we can find a solution.

Do you write or translate scripts?

Yes and no. It depends on what I have at my disposal. For writing a script from scratch, I need a proper briefing with your target audience, USP, etc. It's different with translations, here I can localize from English or French into German - even lip-synchronized texts.

Do you also offer finished audio productions?

Yes, I can step in where you've run out of steam. As an experienced producer and mixing and mastering engineer, I can help you create a really great-sounding listening experience for your target audience - whether it's a radio spot, podcast intro, TV commercial, audio drama/audiobook, documentary or educational content.

What do you fundamentally reject?

Bad things.
